Hi! I’m Sara.

Unlike the Wakefield twins, I don’t have blonde hair, blue-green eyes the color of the Pacific Ocean, and am not a perfect size six. I haven’t been kidnapped, joined a cult, sobbed over my boyfriend leaving the perfect land of Sweet Valley for Vermont, and I never had a doppelgänger named Margo try to take over my life.

However, like everyone in the town of Sweet Valley, I used to be obsessed with the Wakefield twins. I viewed Sweet Valley as the most perfect city that ever existed and dreamed of having Todd Wilkins as my own boyfriend. I assumed that high school as portrayed in Sweet Valley High would basically be my own high school experience. How could it not be? Spoiler alert: it was not. And not just because my own junior year didn’t last over a decade…

Turns out, what seemed near-perfect (or at least entertaining and gripping) as a kid isn’t quite as perfect when rereading as an adult. However, it is just as entertaining, perhaps for different reasons.

My goal is to recap each book as I reread the Sweet Valley High series and keep track of all the craziness along the way. If you’re reading this, I assume you grew up with the Wakefield twins as well. Part of the fun of reliving the world of Sweet Valley is laughing about it with others. I hope you enjoy!
